Maria Sanchez Rodriguez was born and grew up in the beautfiul pacific coastal area of Gussave, Sinaloa Mexico. The ninth child of eleven children, she was given the nickname Chiquis (pronounced chickys) because of her small size and intense enthusiastic energetic nature. Chiquis learned the traditional cooking methods of local Sinaloan cusine from her family. Sinaloa is known for its rich culture and love of seafood. She loves to cook and her greatest joy is when people leave with a smile because they enjoyed their meal and she loves meeting her customers! Chiquis goal is to bring the original flavor of her home in Guasave with home made and made from scratch cusine that you will love. You will always find something different at Chiquis Cocina!
